The Fisher King (1991)

Jack Lucas was one of the most recognized voices on radio up until the point he wasn't. An offensive but off-the-cuff remark made to a regular caller sent that man on a murderous rampage, and Jack is now unemployed and grappling with the consequences of his choices. It's now been three years, and Jack is as low as he's been. But when he finds a homeless man named Parry who claims that he's on the hunt for the holy grail, he sees an opportunity to help him. The fact that Parry was affected by Jack's terrible choices makes it seem like a perfect shot at redemption, but is it possible that Parry's delusions are real?
