Plot

In the hallowed halls of Digby College, John Hathaway, a psychology professor, finds himself in the throes of mutual disinterest with his students. His specialty? The peculiar human emotion of jealousy. Desperate for a change, he finds himself whisked away to the bustling, vibrant metropolis of New York, carrying with him a manuscript that delves into the intricacies of his chosen subject. John, accompanied by his wife Julie, soon find themselves in the polished offices of Elliott Morgan Publishing. John's book, though meticulously researched, is deemed tedious by Nellie, the shrewd publisher. Instead, she is drawn to a tiny fragment of the manuscript that discusses couples and the dynamics of their relationships. As the plot unfurls, it becomes glaringly clear that it's not the words on the page that captivate the room, but the charming Julie. Elliott, the suave publisher, finds himself inexorably drawn to her, while Nellie's interest gravitates towards the unsuspecting John. Julie's concern for John grows, yet the irony isn't lost as John, the self-proclaimed authority on jealousy, remains blissfully ignorant to the brewing storm of emotions around him. "The Feminine Touch" spins a tale of intrigue, jealousy, and the complexities of human relationships, all wrapped up in a world of academia and publishing. It's a story that promises to explore the depths of the human psyche and the consequences of unchecked emotions.
