Plot

Plagued by chaos and discontent, the Burnett family is far from picture-perfect. Jack, the father, is trapped in a world of daydreams, while Bunnie, the mother, is tangled in a web of neighborhood affairs. Their daughter, Kelly, spouts obscenities with ease, and their son, Eric, is a fervent Christian with a sharpshooter's aim. The domineering influence of Bunnie's affluent mother only adds to the turmoil. Amidst this mayhem, an unnoticed deceased peeping Tom swings ominously from a tree outside their bedroom. A twist of fate strikes when Bunnie suffers a head injury, leading to an amnesia that erases everything after the early days of her marriage. Suddenly, the household is bathed in the radiance of her newfound bride-like innocence. As this sweet disruption begins to permeate the Burnett family, Jack grapples with his work dilemmas, Eric scrutinizes his faith-driven comrades, and Kelly forms an unexpected bond with a lesbian classmate. But can Bunnie's transformative amnesia hold the power to mend the family's fractures, or is it merely a fleeting spell of tranquility? Can the Burnett's survive this rollercoaster of change?
