In the futuristic landscape of 2039-2040, the ruins of Tokyo are replaced by Megalo City, a thriving metropolis teeming with advanced androids known as Boomers. Created by the influential Genom Corporation, Boomers dutifully serve humanity, performing a wide spectrum of tasks from mundane cleaning to complex management and laborious industry jobs. Despite this harmonious facade, an unsettling chain of events sets the city on edge as an increasing number of Boomers inexplicably go rogue. As the government and corporations try to veil the truth, the AD Police, a specialized anti-Boomer task force, strive against the clock to prevent these mechanical monstrosities from wreaking havoc. Yet, always one stride ahead are the enigmatic vigilantes, the Knight Sabers, who remain a mystery to the public eye. Caught in this tumultuous world is Lina Yamazaki, an ordinary office worker with an extraordinary determination.
