The Fallen (2004)

In the fading weeks of World War II, Northern Italy becomes an unfolding tableau of turmoil and tension in the film, The Fallen. In this mosaic of war, we witness the intersection of three distinct perspectives: American, German, and Italian soldiers, each embroiled in their own struggles. An American supply squadron, led by the tenacious Sergeant Malone, embarks upon a mission to deliver ammunition to the front line. This bloody civil war turns brother against brother, with civilians and partisans aligning against the fascists. Meanwhile, lurking in the shadows of battle, vultures led by Rossini scavenge the remnants of conflict. The Fallen invites the viewer into the everyday life of these soldiers, their roadside encounters, their dreams and hopes, and the stark realities of war.
