Plot

When young Josh (Louis Corbett) and Ling (Li Lin Jin) embark on what they anticipate to be a dull vacation with their parents at an archaeological site in China, they find themselves plunging into a world of enchanting mystery and thrilling adventure. Instead of the expected humdrum of archaeological exploration, they stumble upon a creature of myth and legend, a mysteriously hidden monster nestled deep within an ancient temple, shrouded in thousands of years of solitude. As they delve deeper into this enigma, they discover the creature's true identity - a majestic Chinese Golden Dragon, an eternal symbol of good fortune and power. This dragon, they learn, is marooned on Earth, detached from its magical pearl and longing for its return to a realm of celestial harmony. Despite Josh's frantic attempts to alert his father (Sam Neill) about this beguiling discovery, it's Ling who perceives the larger cosmic forces at work. The duo soon find themselves on a breath-taking journey, a delicate dance between good and evil, as they unravel the mystery of the dragon's lost pearl. With the fate of the ancient dragon in their hands, Josh and Ling must navigate this thrilling quest to reunite the celestial creature with its pearl, enabling it to reclaim its rightful place in the cosmic order. Their once uneventful vacation transforms into an unforgettable saga of courage, friendship, and mythical wonders.
