In the heart of ancient China, the legendary military swordmaster, Wu Sung (Ti Lung), is accused of a sinister crime - the murder of his unfaithful sister-in-law and her lover. Unjustly exiled to the remote prison camp of Meng Chou, Wu's future looks grim until an unlikely ally emerges in the form of Shih En (Tien Ching), the compassionate son of the camp commander.
