Plot
The Day After follows a mid-1980s fictional nuclear war that takes place between the Warsaw Pact and NATO forces. Things quickly escalate and before long the United States and the Soviet Union are in direct conflict. The movie centers on residents of eastern Kansas who are particularly affected by the nuclear holocaust.
