Plot

In the heart of New York City, a gifted composer named Romulus finds solace in his secluded park cave, battling mental illness while estranged from his police officer daughter. His world is shaken on Valentine's Day when he discovers a young man's frozen body perched in a tree near his dwelling. The police dismiss it as a bizarre accident, but Romulus is drawn into a chilling mystery, convinced by a friend of the deceased that the young man fell victim to the sinister avant-garde photographer, David Leppenraub. Haunted by the specter of his youthful wife, Romulus embarks on a daring quest to prove the supposed murderer's guilt. His musical talent provides him with an unexpected entry into Leppenraub's world, where he is invited to perform a newly crafted composition at the photographer's farm. Caught in a web of intrigue and darkness, Romulus must navigate his crumbling sanity, not only to uncover the truth behind the mysterious death but also to mend the deep-seated rift with his daughter. Will he manage to hold onto his sanity long enough to find justice and reconnect with his lost kin?
