Plot
In the year of 2008, Lisa Lynch, a vibrant 28-year-old magazine editor, and her loving husband Pete, barely a year and a half into their marriage, are on the cusp of a much-anticipated trip to America. Amidst their preparations, Lisa stumbles upon a disconcerting discovery - a lump on her breast. While friends dismiss it as trivial, a doctor's cautionary advice guides her to a specialist. The diagnosis is sobering - cancer, but with a glimmer of hope as it appears to be operable. Lisa, resolute, embarks on the arduous journey of chemotherapy, enduring hair loss and referring to her predicament as "The Bullsh*t".
As a form of catharsis, Lisa initiates an online journal titled "Alright Tit", a candid and humorous chronicle of her battle with cancer, devoid of self-pity. Encouraged by her friends, Lisa expands her journal into a public blog, touching lives with her wit and resilience. In 2011, she faces another setback with a second surgery, and two years thereafter, Lisa succumbs to her battle, leaving behind a loving husband and a supportive family.
Her enduring legacy, however, is her blog, later published as a book titled "The C-Word". Lisa's words continue to foster hope and solace, providing a beacon of light for many others navigating the tumultuous seas of cancer.
