In the heart of 1970s Athens, a cadre of skillful burglars, helmed by the enigmatic Azad, embarks on a precarious venture. Their target is a veritable fortress, the opulent villa of Mister Tasco, a wealthy gem merchant whose coveted emerald collection is ripe for the taking. Armed with advanced safe-cracking tools, the crew sets their audacious plan into motion, neutralizing the villa's guard, infiltrating the premises, and successfully prying open the fortress of a safe to pilfer the glittering emeralds within.
The night is not as silent as they hoped, however. A lone Greek policeman, Abel Zacharia, casts a suspicious eye on the burglars' vehicle inconspicuously parked outside Tasco's residence. Yet, instead of raising an immediate alarm, the cunning and corrupt inspector plays a deceptively quiet game, feigning belief when Azad masquerades as a simple car mechanic.
Beneath his complacent facade, Zacharia harbors a sinister plot of his own. Intending to swoop in once the burglars have completed their mission, he plans to seize the criminals and the stolen emeralds for himself. Thus, the quiet Athenian night transforms into a thrilling stage for a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, as each player meticulously plots their next move in a dance of deception, greed, and cunning. The chase is on, where alliances are as fragile as the coveted gems, and betrayal is as sharp as a thief's blade.
