The Black Hole (1979)

In the vast, unchartered realms of space, the USS Palomino, an Earth exploratory vessel, stumbles upon a haunting sight; the USS Cygnus, a ship deemed lost two decades prior, teetering on the precipice of an immense black hole. The Palomino's crew, led by the resolute Captain Dan Holland and his loyal First Officer, Lieutenant Charlie Pizer, are compelled to unravel the enigma of the Cygnus. Among them are the intuitive Dr. Kate McCrae, whose tendrils of personal history are entwined with the Cygnus, and the insightful civilian leader, Dr. Alex Durant.
