Once incarcerated master safecracker, Duke Anderson, steps into freedom after enduring a decade behind bars, he's swiftly drawn back into the underworld. Reunited with his old flame, Ingrid Everleigh, in her lavish New York City apartment, an audacious idea takes root in Anderson's cunning mind: to rob all six apartments within the upscale building. Assembling a motley crew of ex-convicts and shady acquaintances, Anderson masterminds a labyrinthine plot to execute his daring scheme. Yet, the world outside prison walls has evolved during his ten-year hiatus. The omnipresent watch of surveillance cameras has become a common facet of modern life, a grim reality Anderson must incorporate into his grand plan. However, unbeknownst to him, the tentacles of surveillance extend much further than he anticipates. Several of his accomplices are under covert electronic watch by a variety of organizations, monitored for reasons that diverge from Anderson's grand heist. Some of this scrutiny is within the bounds of the law, others lurk in grey areas. The question remains: Will any of these unseen observers connect the dots and unravel Anderson's intricate plot? And if they do, will they intervene if their prime surveillance targets are not directly implicated? As Anderson orchestrates his ambitious heist, he remains blissfully unaware that his every move is being captured on audio and video tape, painting a picture of a scheme that could crash before it even takes flight.
