In the heart of Los Angeles, two best friends, Luis and Ronald, embark on a self-documented journey, capturing their final 36 hours before being deployed to the stark realities of war in Afghanistan. With dreams larger than their neighborhood, these young men enlist in the Marines, a choice that confronts them with the trials and tribulations of adulthood. Just a hundred days shy of Obama's ascendancy to presidency, Luis aspires to be a filmmaker while Ronald yearns to explore the globe and nurture a family. With Luis's video camera as their third companion, they encapsulate moments with their loved ones and the familiar corners of their hometown, creating a poignant kaleidoscope of their identities and roots. As they plunge into their most challenging hour, the camera rolls for one last time, capturing their journey's twilight.
