In the hallowed halls of Grey College, Pennsylvania, Charlie Thurber is cherished by his students, a beacon of knowledge in an academic world. Despite his teaching prowess, his tenure is on shaky ground. Lacking in published articles and with the tenure review looming in three months, Charlie is in a race against time to see his work in print. His tranquil world is disrupted when the college dean introduces a new contender in the academic ring, a brilliant young woman from Yale, Assistant Professor Elaine Grasso.
