His agent, Bullmer, awaits his arrival, ready to navigate the hustle and bustle of talk show interviews. However, Rome has its own macabre welcome prepared for Peter - a chilling murder echoing the grim narrative of his novel. As the lifeless body of a shoplifter surfaces, the no-nonsense Detective Germani is thrust onto the scene. The detective, intrigued by the uncanny parallels between the crime and Peter's novel, introduces a chilling possibility - the killer is taking inspiration from the book. The situation spirals further when Peter receives a cryptic letter from the murderer, hinting at a series of impending deaths. The city of Rome becomes a grand, terrifying stage as two more victims fall prey to the killer's twisted games. His deranged motive - the eradication of those he deems perverted. The rising body count baffles the police, tying them in knots, while Peter finds himself increasingly entwined in the chilling narrative of real-life murder.
