In the dusty heart of a western town, an adept ranch hand named Rocklin finds himself tangled in a web of mystery, greed, and danger. Expecting to embark on a fresh start, he's greeted instead by the chilling news of his would-be employer's untimely demise, a twist of fate that casts a long, threatening shadow over the town. Simultaneously, the compellingly young Clara Cardell arrives, teetering on the precipice of inheriting her late uncle's vast ranch, and shadowed by her domineering aunt, Elizabeth Martin.
