Plot

In a quaint inn, filled with the hum of stories and the scent of journey, the renowned writer Geoffrey Chaucer, accompanied by the Quick knight, finds himself amidst a band of pilgrims bound for Canterbury. As inclement weather hampers their departure, they seek solace in weaving tales to fend off ennui. Dorigen, abandoned by her husband Avergadus who has departed for war, finds herself trapped in the relentless courtship of Aurelius. In a desperate gambit, she demands an impossible feat from him, only to discover that he achieves it with the aid of a mage. Despite this, Dorigen ingeniously manages to evade her obligation. Meanwhile, Federico, consumed by his passion for a widow, secures a pack of dogs for his savage desires. Tragically, his beloved becomes the victim of a brutal mauling. In a daring defiance of Death itself, Giovanni, Oddo, and Carlotta stumble upon a hidden treasure in a forest. Overcome by their own greed, they turn against each other, the lust for riches sowing seeds of destruction. Finally, a gullible king of ancient Greece, accompanied by his faithful minister Ercole, is tricked by three cunning swindlers. In his quest to ransom and win over his stepdaughter, he falls prey to their deceit, with a lady of the night as their chosen bait. Tales of Canterbury is a rich tapestry of stories, where human folly, desire, and cunning intermingle, creating a narrative as compelling as it is timeless.
