In the bustling world of the Satellite News Network (SNN) in Chicago, Christy Colleran, a star investigative reporter, returns from a rejuvenating vacation with life-changing news. Her ex-husband, John Sullivan - Sully, the network's news director, is not only shocked to learn she's quitting her job, but also that she's marrying Blaine Bingham, a New York sporting goods magnate. Her decision to leave stems primarily from Sully's inability to separate their personal relationship from their professional one, often prioritizing news over their marriage.
