Sura (2010)

In the quaint coastal hamlet of Yaazh Nagar, nestled in the heart of Tamil Nadu, we meet Sura (Vijay), a heartwarming hero raised among the village fishermen and his loyal companion, Umbrella (Vadivelu). Amidst the serene seascapes, Sura crosses paths with the vivacious Poornima (Tamannaah), a young woman in the depths of despair over the loss of her beloved pet. As Sura's compassionate character gradually soothes her sorrow, an unlikely romance blossoms between them. Just as tranquility seems to be restored, a storm arises in the form of Samuthira Raja (Dev Gill), a corrupt minister with a voracious appetite for wealth. He sets his greedy eyes on the humble abode of the fishermen, plotting to seize their land. However, Sura, the defender of the downtrodden, stands firm against Raja's onslaught. In a battle of wills, the minister employs his political prowess to conspire against Sura, intending to eradicate him from the equation. Yet, Sura, a beacon of valor, faces the adversity single-handedly, combating the minister's malevolent intentions. The film unravels as Sura fights to protect his village, a tale of courage and resilience that ultimately seeks to fulfill Sura's dream - securing a home for his fellow fishermen.
