In the rugged cradle of towering mountains, a group of men wage a ceaseless battle against the relentless forces of nature, their sole purpose being the prevention of mountain erosion and landslides. However, the shadows cast by societal issues loom larger than the dangers of the mountains. Finding steady work in this hazardous field is a Herculean task. The men are constantly on the brink, their lives suspended not just over the chasms of natural danger, but on the precipice of societal failings. Unscrupulous individuals, driven by greed and a scant regard for ethics, impose a perilous system of contract work. In this system, the men must face not only the inherent dangers of their job but also the potential of crossing into criminal territory.
