Still of the Night (1982)

In the shadowy heart of New York, recently divorced psychiatrist, Dr. Sam Rice, navigates through the mysteries of the human mind, a legacy inherited from his esteemed psychiatrist mother, Grace. His tranquil world is shattered when one of his patients, George Bynum, an antiquities dealer at the renowned Crispins Auction House, is found gruesomely stabbed to death. This ignites an intricate dance with homicide detective Joseph Vitucci, who believes that the key to solving the murder lies hidden within the labyrinth of Sam's confidential therapy sessions with Bynum.
