Plot

In the wake of a scandalous vice-presidential resignation, the polished and powerful senator 'Kay Bee' Hartmann finds herself on the precipice of succession. Yet, lurking in the shadows of her seemingly impeccable reputation is a potential scandal in the form of her teenage daughter, Ashley. Desperate to win back her strapping ex-boyfriend, Ashley embarks on a wild spring break adventure with her sorority on the notorious South Padre Island in Texas. To keep Ashley's antics from tarnishing her political image, Senator Hartmann dispatches her nerdy and diligent junior assistant, Becky St. Germaine, to chaperone the spring-break escapade. Becky, eager for a break from her mundane life, seizes this opportunity and invites her own posse of former college friends, each equally uninspired and overlooked by the sorority scene during their college years. Their vacation turns into a wild and exhilarating whirlwind as they swap their tame annual joint holiday for a taste of the frenzied party scene. They find unexpected allies in their libertine motel host and the Seven, a clique of popular, yet vacuous co-eds who embrace the mature women as their dance coaches. Amid the chaos, one of the women dares to seduce the most desired frat boy, chivalrous Todd, in a risky flirtation that appears to be paying off. "Spring Breakdown" is a riotous journey of three thirtysomething women who shake off the dust of their uninspired lives and dive headfirst into a youthful and wild spring break adventure. Juggling political reputations, youthful exuberance, and latent desires, they discover that it's never too late to let loose and embrace their wild sides.
