Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002)

Spirit has proven himself capable of leading his herd of horses. The stallion is bold, courageous, and intelligent, but that's not enough to stop his capture. When his curiosity gets the best of him, he finds himself captured by human wranglers. Soon, Spirit is brought to a nearby army fort, and he bucks against the efforts to tame and shoe him. After suffering many abuses, he finds himself in a much more welcoming village of natives. He's initially resistant to their kindness but slowly finds himself warming to the people. In particular, a young woman named Little Creek grows close to him as he seeks out his herd.
