Plot

Caught in the crossfire of burgeoning adolescence, 15-year-old Heidi embarks on a solitary journey away from home after her mother discovers her kissing her boyfriend. With the Snowy River resort as her destination, Heidi finds herself caught in a web of broken promises and elusive job opportunities. As she navigates the harsh realities of life, she secures a humble abode and a job at a local convenience store. Heidi's life teeters on the precipice of childhood - a time of nursery rhymes and glitter-filled scrapbooks, and impending adulthood - a complex maze of work, emotional upheaval, sexual awakening, and the burden of societal judgement. Her attractive demeanor cloaks her loneliness, leaving her susceptible to the harsh realities of life. Her path intertwines with Joe, a local rancher's son, whose dormant emotions are ignited in her presence. The question then arises - can Heidi stave off the relentless march of adulthood and linger in the innocence of her childhood a little longer? Her journey oscillates between the radiant optimism of youth and the stark realities of growing up, making for an emotionally charged exploration of adolescence.
