Plot

In the gritty heart of Glasgow, Scotland, circa 1968, we encounter the Maclean brothers; Bobby, the gang-member, Alan, the troubled artist, and Lex, the audacious trickster. They carve out their existence in a downtrodden neighborhood, their lives intertwined with the grim realities of gang warfare. As a whirlwind of hormones begins to stir within Bobby and Alan, the spotlight falls on Lex, a cheeky 13-year-old whose life veers off course following an act of reckless bravado. Lex, while nurturing a subtle appreciation for art akin to his brother Alan's aspirations, finds himself ensnared in the clutches of the city's violent underbelly. A mischievous air gun shot aimed at Malky Johnson, the feared leader of the rival Tongs gang, sets off a chain of events that pull Lex deeper into the gang world. Charlie Sloan, the cunning leader of Bobby's Glen gang, seizes this opportunity and offers Lex protection, but at a price; his allegiance. The tension escalates further when Joanne, Malky's girlfriend, develops an attraction towards Alan, adding another layer of complexity to the already volatile situation. With youthful arrogance blinding him, Lex fails to foresee the rippling impact his actions and affiliations have on himself and those he holds dear. The tale of the Maclean brothers is a vivid exploration of adolescence against a backdrop of gang rivalry, struggling aspirations, and the relentless pursuit of personal identity.
