Sheena (1984)

In the untamed expanse of African wilderness, a young girl named Sheena witnesses the tragic death of her white parents while on a safari. Saved from the same fate by a mystical witch woman, Sheena is adopted by the African tribe of Zambouli, who operate under the protecting shadow of benevolent King Jabalani. As Sheena matures under the tutelage of the tribal Shaman, she discovers the secrets of the jungle, its creatures, and even the extraordinary ability to communicate telepathically with animals. Meanwhile, intrigue and betrayal fester in the heart of Tigora. King Jabalani's younger brother, an ex-football champion turned traitor, Prince Otwani, plots with his brother's conniving fiancee, Countess Zanda, to assassinate Jabalani and exploit the titanium-rich Zambouli lands. A vision of the impending calamity prompts the Shaman to warn the King, but she is seized by Zanda's corrupt police officers. Meanwhile, Vic Casey, a reporter, and his cameraman Fletch Agronsky arrive in Tigora to cover Otwani's sports fame. However, they soon find themselves in the midst of a political scandal when King Jabalani is killed and the Shaman is wrongfully accused. Venturing into a remote prison compound to interview the Shaman, they bear witness to an incredible rescue by Sheena and her loyal animal friends: Chango, the elephant; Marika, the zebra; and Tiki, the chimpanzee. Now, Sheena and Vic must navigate the perilous jungle, pursued by mercenaries hired by the ruthless usurpers. Armed with her affinity for animals, understanding of jungle lore, and Vic's dedication to the truth, they must outwit superior weapons and expose the real culprits, battling the forces that threaten to tear their world apart. Through this thrilling journey, Sheena becomes the fearless queen of the jungle, a beacon of hope in a world of treachery and greed.
