Annie (1982)

Annie lives in an orphanage during the Depression. Even though it is run by a cruel woman, Mrs. Hannigan, and the orphans are always hungry and cold, she keeps everyone's spirits up and is convinced that one day, her real parents will come to get her. When one of the richest men in the world, Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks, decides it would be good public relations to have an orphan visit for a short time, Annie is chosen. When Warbucks decides to help her locate her real parents, Mrs. Hannigan and her evil associates plot to con them.
