Plot

In the heart of the movie, Shanks (1974), resides Malcolm Shanks, a solitary figure haunted by deafness and muteness. He endures a life of torment, trapped in the claws of his heartless sister and her equally cruel husband. His only solace is discovered in the intricate crafting and manipulating of puppets, a pastime that soon transcends the boundaries of mere hobby. A glimmer of hope shines upon Shanks as he is enlisted by the eccentric Dr. Walker, engrossed in pioneering research aiming to breathe life into the lifeless, using a unique technique of implanting electrodes at vital nerve junctures. The once inert bodies now dance akin to marionettes on invisible strings, under the control of their puppeteer. An unforeseen twist of fate leaves the doctor lifeless, and Shanks is struck by a daring idea. He takes the audacious leap of applying their groundbreaking experiment on a human form. As he ventures into this uncharted territory, a desire for retribution begins to kindle within him. Shanks' tale unfurls into a riveting narrative of resilience, revenge, and the exploration of life beyond death.
