Severed (2005)

In the secluded wilderness of Canada, a tension-infused standoff rages on between a group of fervent protesters and a multinational forestry corporation hell-bent on deforestation. Amid this conflict, one unwitting worker's chainsaw cuts into a scientifically modified tree, unleashing a virulent sap that instantly transforms him into a flesh-craving zombie. When the company's upper echelons lose all contact with the remote location, the owner dispatches his son, Tyler, to the scene.
