Plot

As the pallor of World War II begins to lift in May 1945, the eerie silence of the Jeseniky Mountains near the city of Sumperk becomes the backdrop for a chilling enigma. Agnes (Vica Kerekes), a German woman married to Czech forester Jan Olsan (Ondrej Vetchý), vanishes into thin air. She alone bears the knowledge of her pursuer's identity and the motive behind her pursuit. With the war nearing its end, the Czechs are trickling back to the frontier from the inland, the landscape is riddled with forming guards and returning soldiers. Amidst this turmoil, fate orchestrates a tense reunion between the outlaw Jan and his German brother-in-law Jurgen (Jarek Hylebrant), recently returned from the eastern front. Their search for Agnes unites them, yet her reasons for fleeing remain a mystery. Agnes, in her desperate flight, is haunted by the county's most formidable man, her every step shadowed by the secrets she has witnessed. She navigates through the untamed wilderness, her path intertwined with danger and uncertainty. The intricate tale of Agnes and Jan's relationship gradually unravels in the heart of the mountains, through a journey as perilous as the thorns underfoot. The movie, Seven Days of Sin, cloaks the aftermath of war in an intimate, suspenseful narrative, leaving viewers teetering on the edge of revelation.
