As "Segunda Mano" unfolds, we're introduced to Owen (Rico Blanco) and Mariella (Angelica Panganiban), caught in the throes of a bitter argument inside a car near a lake. Owen, having abandoned his wife for Mariella, is livid that she won't reciprocate the sacrifice. The quarrel escalates, leading to a violent confrontation where Owen strikes Mariella through the car window. In a desperate bid for escape, Mariella's frantic moves trigger a flashback. We glimpse her past as she reassures her husband, Ivan (Dingdong Dantes), that she's off to keep her best friend, Samantha, company. But the peaceful evening turns grim when their daughter, Angel (Sofia Villarama), approaches Ivan, searching for her missing mother. Ivan, with a heavy heart, tells Angel that Mariella has left. Meanwhile, a chilling scene unfolds. A blood-drenched Mariella, caught in a torrential downpour, seeks help. A car passes by, its occupants oblivious to her plight, engrossed in the merry tunes of Christmas carols. As the car's lights fade in the distance, a dreadful realization dawns upon Mariella - she knows her life has come to a tragic end.
