Plot

In the twilight of his life, Kanjuro Nomi, a samurai bearing nothing more than a scabbard, walks a path stained by a past that forced him to forsake his blade and renounce battle. With his sole beacon of hope, his daughter Tae, they traverse the uncertain roads of a life on the run. Marked as an outlaw for abandoning his lord, Kanjuro finds himself confronted with a challenge as formidable as any battlefield: The Thirty-Day Feat. He is tasked to bring a glimmer of joy back to a grief-stricken prince mourning the loss of his mother. The rules are simple yet brutal: succeed within thirty attempts, each a new day, and earn their freedom. Failure, however, carries a grim sentence of seppuku - the harrowing Japanese ritual suicide. The stage is set, and the odds seem insurmountable. Kanjuro and Tae find themselves in a different kind of duel, where wit and heart replace blades. Can the swordless samurai navigate this perilous terrain, secure their freedom, and protect the one he cherishes most? Embark on a journey with the Scabbard Samurai, where the real battle lies not in the flash of steel, but in the resilience of the human spirit.
