These unfamiliar customs stir up dormant memories of her youth, her struggles with her identity, and her first romance with a young man named Niklas, who remained oblivious to her ethnic background. This poignant journey is a testament to Christina's desperate efforts to blend into Swedish society, a path that required more than just changing her name.
