In the heart of Jerusalem, Saul, a Roman citizen and devout Jew, finds himself entangled in the intricate web of religious and political affairs. As an ardent follower of the revered rabbi Gamaliel, Saul staunchly observes the laws of the Pharisees. Yet his faith is constantly tested as whispers of a resurrected Messiah named Jesus of Nazareth echo through the city's ancient streets. This radical notion of resurrection sparks volatile debates with his friend Ruben, a fervent Sadducee priest, thrusting them into a clash of beliefs that threatens their enduring camaraderie. Paul's mission leads him back to his hometown, Tarsus, before he ventures to Greece, spreading the Christian message to Gentiles, a controversial move that sets the stage for a potential schism within the new religion. His journey is fraught with danger, as Ruben tirelessly pursues him, fuelled by a relentless desire for revenge. Despite the trials and tribulations, Paul's undying faith carries him through, culminating in his journey to Rome. His path, however, is marked by imprisonment, treachery, and the ever-looming shadow of death. Yet, armed with the unyielding spirit of a believer, Paul continues his mission, sowing the seeds of a new faith that would forever change the course of human history. Based on the book of Acts and Paul's epistles, "Saint Paul" is a riveting tale of transformation and endurance, a testament to the power of faith amid the stormy seas of adversity.
