Plot
In the bustling metropolis of Bombay, an orphan named Lallu (Akshay Kumar) seeks a fresh start. Raised by foster parents after a cruel twist of fate separated him from his family, Lallu finds employment as a devoted servant to the wealthy businessman, Jamna Das (Avtar Gill). Lallu's world takes a surprising turn when he rescues Jamna Das's reckless daughter, Sunita (Mamta Kulkarni), from a nightclub in her intoxicated state. Touched by Lallu's unwavering loyalty and integrity, Jamna Das decides that he should marry Sunita.
However, Sunita, a wild spirit entangled in a passionate affair with Amit (Mohnish Behl) vehemently opposes this arrangement. The sudden death of Jamna Das from a heart attack reveals an unexpected stipulation in his will: Sunita must marry Lallu to claim her inheritance. Cornered, Sunita marries Lallu but secretly plots his demise with Amit to secure her father's wealth.
Their sinister plan appears successful as Lallu seemingly perishes in an orchestrated accident, but the case lands in the hands of Inspector Vijay Kumar (also Akshay Kumar), an uncanny lookalike of the presumed dead Lallu. As Vijay delves deeper into the mystery, it becomes apparent that he shares more than just a physical resemblance with Lallu.
Simultaneously, the plot thickens as Vijay is revealed to have his own vendetta against Amit's father, Amar Singh. The echoes of a past atrocity involving Sunita's late mother, Gomti, fuel his thirst for justice.
