Inquisitive journalist Sadie Blake's world turns upside down when her nerdy coworker, Ethan Mills, cracks an enigmatic code leading to an address in Koreatown, found in the haunting tales of gothic informer Tricia Rawlins, who speaks of a blood-curdling cult. Skeptical at first, Sadie's interest is piqued when Tricia's lifeless body is discovered in a Koreatown dumpster. Driven by a newfound urgency, she descends upon the given address, only to stumble upon an abandoned house, its basement a grisly tableau of blood.
