Ringing Bell (1978)

In the serene surroundings of a farm, a vivacious lamb named Chirin is living the blissful life of innocence. A bell adorns his neck, a charming symbol of his adventurous spirit and his mother's love, always guiding him back when he loses his way. His mother, the beacon of his existence, warns him of the dangers lurking beyond the farm's fence: a monstrous black wolf residing in the mountains, whose appetite is whetted by the sight of sheep. The youthful naivety of Chirin leads him to dismiss this cautionary tale, until the harrowing reality strikes one fateful night. The barn doors open to reveal the menacing wolf, his eyes gleaming with anticipation as he sets his sights on young Chirin. But in a heartrending twist of events, the mother lamb throws herself in the path of danger, sacrificing her life for her child. The wolf retreats, leaving Chirin in a state of shock and despair at the sight of his mother's lifeless body. Fuelled by anger and a thirst for revenge, Chirin swears to defy his mother's advice. He resolves to journey into the mountains to face the wolf, the embodiment of his grief and desire for justice. The once cherubic lamb embarks on a path of retribution, his bell no longer a symbol of innocent adventure, but a chilling reminder of his tragic loss and his quest for vengeance.
