Plot

Haunted by her sister's tragic suicide, Rebekka embarks on a chilling journey of vengeance to the serene fjords of Western Norway. Brandishing nothing more than a kitchen knife and her seething rage, she targets a tranquil waterfront hotel, a picturesque veneer hiding a monstrous secret. This is the dwelling of her sister's assailant, the man whose transgressions ignited her mission. Adopting a veil of deceit, Rebekka introduces herself as a travel journalist, seamlessly insinuating herself into the everyday life of the unsuspecting predator and his unsuspecting family. A warm welcome greets her arrival, yet below the surface, her wrath simmers, awaiting the perfect moment to strike. Her initial plan is simple, a solitary act of violence, but when she corners the man, her courage wavers. In the face of her faltering resolve, Rebekka reimagines her strategy, deciding to inflict a punishment deeper than the cut of a knife. She sets out to dismantle the man's life piece by piece, targeting his family and, most critically, his social status. As she weaves her intricate plan, Rebekka transforms from a grieving sister into an avenging force, a lone cowgirl riding into a town poised on the precipice of chaos. When she finally rides out, she leaves behind a once-idyllic village engulfed in turmoil, a man broken by his own sins, and a sense of justice that, while unconventional, brings a modicum of peace to her embittered heart. This tale of revenge paints a portrait of a woman's quest for justice, a journey through loss, anger, and retribution against the pristine backdrop of Western Norway.
