Renegade (2004)

In the rugged wilds of 1870's Louisiana, wayward adolescent Michael 'Mike' Blueberry finds solace not in the comforts of his family home but under the stern tutelage of his Wild West uncle, a man who wields nothing but a stick for motivation. However, Mike's life is irrevocably altered after a brutal encounter in a local bordello with the ruthless Wallace 'Wally' Sebastian Blount. Left to perish in the unforgiving desert, Mike is saved by a Chiricahua (Apache) medicine man and his family, who nurse him back to health and initiate him into their sacred traditions. With the shaman's teachings etched in his heart, Mike returns to civilization, shedding his adolescent rebelliousness and becoming the town's steadfast deputy marshal.
