Plot

In the nostalgically painted canvas of 1980's rural India, set within the imaginary boundaries of Rangasthalam, lives Chittibabu, an epitome of purity and innocence. Partially deaf, he leads a simple existence, irrigating the agricultural lands of his village, his life flowing with the rhythmic gurgle of water. His world, however, becomes turbulent when his brother, fuelled by a surge of rebellion, announces his intention to challenge the village's unchallenged President. This President, a ruthless tyrant, has held the reins of power for a chilling thirty years, exploiting the lands and lives of the unsuspecting villagers. Haunted by the spectre of his elder brother's potential death and driven by an unyielding love, Chittibabu finds himself grappling with a disturbing new reality. He becomes the silent sentinel, his heart pounding with the singular goal of protecting his brother against the looming darkness of their adversary. His hearing impairment, far from a weakness, turns into an emblem of his strength as he navigates this perilous journey. 'Rangasthalam' is a stirring saga of a village's undying spirit of rebellion against a three-decade-long oppressive regime, seen through the eyes of a simple, hearing-impaired man. As the brothers unite in defiance, their story unravels amidst the parched lands and traditional rhythms of rural India, bringing to life an unforgettable tale of love, courage, and relentless pursuit of justice.
