Plot

Caught amidst the glittering façade of Hollywood, Rafferty, a bourbon-savoring, disillusioned driving examiner, finds his mundane existence uprooted when he crosses paths with two eccentric women. McKinley 'Mac', a vivacious, free-spirited aspiring country singer, and her fiery fifteen-year-old companion Frisbee, a tempest of teenage rebellion, inexplicably weave their way into Rafferty's life. During an impromptu rendezvous in a city park, Rafferty finds himself ensnared in the duo's frenetic quest to reach New Orleans. Despite his initial reluctance, he is drawn into their whirlwind journey, fueled by an undeniable attraction towards Mac and an unspoken intrigue about Frisbee's bristling anger. In his ramshackle sedan, Rafferty and his unlikely co-passengers embark on a tumultuous road trip. From the neon-lit streets of Las Vegas, Nevada, to the sun-drenched landscapes of Tucson, Arizona, their journey is a wild symphony of misadventures and scams, all crafted to fund their expedition. But as they edge closer to the soulful rhythms of New Orleans, their collective dream begins to unravel. Initiated by the unpredictable Frisbee, the trio's plans are poised precariously on the edge of change, contingent on the surprises or disappointments waiting for them at their destination. 'Rafferty and the Gold Dust Twins' is a chaotic yet charming tale of unexpected friendships, shared dreams, and the unpredictable twists of the open road.
