In the bustling heart of Delhi resides Siddharth Bose, a middle-class Bengal-speaking individual who makes his living as a DJ. He shares his life with his doting mother and sister, Shalini, whose lives were shaken years ago when their father abruptly abandoned them. Shalini finds solace in matrimony with Kapil Sharma, leaving Siddharth under the comforting company of his trusty friend, Nanoo. Siddharth's once mundane life takes an unexpected turn at an opulent ceremony where Trisha Mallick, a vivacious Punjabi girl, is set to marry India's youngest CEO, Vivek Chaddha. Siddharth, sneaking into the event for a quick restroom break, stumbles upon a heart-wrenching revelation - the bride is not in love and plans to flee. He persuades her to reconsider, and after an unexpected meeting in Mumbai six months later, he discovers she took his advice to heart, but not as he intended.
