Plot

In the quaint tranquility of a country cabin, Edgar Appletree, along with his sister, seeks the solace prescribed by his doctor to soothe his frazzled nerves. However, their arrival is met not with serene silence, but the deafening discord of gunfire. Unexpectedly drawn into the crossfire of a rustic feud, Edgar finds an unlikely guide in a local boy named Charlie McCarthy, who elucidates the peculiarity of this longstanding rivalry between the McCarthy and Jenkins clans. In the midst of this rural battlefield, a curious tradition unfolds: a meal shared by the feuding families. It is an odd intermission, a ceasefire for nourishment and the grim tallying of remaining family members. As Edgar and his sister partake in this communal lunch, they peel back the layers of the eccentric Charlie, exploring his dismal academic past and discovering his flirtatious fascination with a certain Appletree. Engrossed in this unusual tableau, Edgar's sister becomes an advocate for peace, attempting to bridge the chasm between the hostile factions. Meanwhile, Charlie's innocent flirtations with her hint at a softer side of this rural conflict. As the meal unfolds, the question lingers — is this a finale to the feud or merely a pause in their relentless rivalry? "Pure Feud" is a tale of conflict and charm, woven into the fabric of a peculiar countryside tradition.
