Plot

In the crucible of World War II's South Pacific furnace, a young, spirited Lt. Jack Kennedy arrives, his ambition pulsating with the desire to command his own PT boat. His dreams are seemingly dashed when he finds nothing but a dilapidated vessel, a mere shadow of its former glory. Yet, in this rusted relic, Kennedy sees potential. He scrounges together a crew of brave souls, and together they breathe new life into the old cast-off, christening it as PT 109. Kennedy proves an adept leader, his charisma and competence sparking a flame of loyalty and trust among his men. Under his command, PT 109 patrolling the black velvet of the South Pacific, an eerie tranquility is shattered when a Japanese destroyer slices through the darkness, cleaving the PT boat in half. The sea swallows the boat, leaving Kennedy and his men adrift in enemy territory, their survival hanging by a perilous thread. Marooned on an uncharted island, they are ensnared in a savage game of hide-and-seek with the enemy. Their once mighty PT boat is replaced with the desperate need for food, shelter, and a way to signal the distant Navy for rescue. This tale of survival and courage is a dramatization of the real-life wartime experiences of future U.S. President John F. Kennedy, a testament to his resilience and leadership in the face of insurmountable odds.
