Plot
The offspring of wealthy industrialist Viswanath, Vijay, played by Vijay, returns home after completing his education abroad, bringing with him the brashness and extravagance of western culture. Uninhibitedly indulging in leisure with his father, Vijay seeks ways to spend the vast fortune amassed by his ancestors. Meanwhile, Viswanath's personal secretary Radha, portrayed by Simran, battles her own tumultuous life - an abandoned elder sister, a pregnant and unmarried younger sister, an unemployed elder brother, and her own congenital heart condition.
Vijay, a man unswayed by the traditional notions of marriage, succumbs to his father's insistence to settle down. He proposes an unconventional arrangement - a contractual marriage with a woman named Priya. However, this isn't your typical love story. Vijay lays down a condition - at the end of the year, he will decide whether to uphold their marital bond or sever it entirely.
