Plot

In the ancient sands of Egypt, a daring expedition led by the seasoned Prof. Hayden Masterton unravels, plunging deep into the belly of a pyramid, a cryptic fortress untouched for 5000 years. Masterton, driven by the promise of a celestial event that recurs once every millennia, finds himself embroiled in a perilous game of power and intrigue. A treacherous treasure hunter, Peter Levitz, murders a local dealer, pilfers a sacred key, and then ensnares Masterton into a deadly pact. This key, a harbinger of doom, lies at the heart of their journey, possessing the power to awaken a dormant alien race ensconced within the pyramid's stone-clad confines. As the expedition navigates death traps and primordial monsters, they stumble upon a secret that predates recorded history, a revelation that carries a danger beyond human comprehension. Our young American archaeological apprentice, Charvet, is swept up in the whirlwind of this terrifying quest. He finds himself battling not only for his survival but also for the fate of the world. Amidst the chaos, Masterton pays the ultimate price, sacrificing his daughter's blood to activate the mechanism that rouses the "sleepers." As these alien gods awaken, the countdown to the end of the world thunders into motion. Will Earth succumb to a cataclysmic apocalypse, or will the band of survivors manage to outsmart the ancient snares and extraterrestrial threats? The sands of time are slipping, and the answer lies buried beneath the Egyptian pyramids in "Prisoners of the Sun."
