Plot

In the icy grip of a Montana winter, a young man is discovered unconscious at the controls of a wrecked car, not far from the Canadian border. The trunk hides an ominous secret, a lump of weapons-grade Uranium. He is swiftly swept away into the shadowy depths of a high-security prison where, despite months of relentless interrogation and torment, he reveals nothing but a string of indecipherable curses in an alien language. Unexpectedly, he offers his captors a cryptic sequence of numbers and letters. These turn out to be precise coordinates for impending Supernova explosions. As the first celestial event unfolds exactly as predicted, shock-waves reverberate through the security establishment. The enigma within their grasp is no mere terrorist, but a time-traveller from the future. Fast forward fifteen years, and the time-traveller, RAMIRO, remains incarcerated within the subterranean prison. The world above has been reshaped by the information he has intermittently provided. The US has launched an unyielding war on terror, hunting down the ninety-eight "temporal jihadists" Ramiro insists arrived alongside him. The Middle-East lies in ruins, Pakistan has been erased from the map, and India is next in the crosshairs. Yet the terrorists, under the enigmatic leadership of Abraham, remain elusive. Into this intricate web of intrigue steps CIA agent CARMEN REESE. Her mission at the prison is two-fold: to probe the perplexing death of her predecessor, a skilled interrogator who'd successfully gained Ramiro's trust, and to determine the truth behind Ramiro's claims. Was her predecessor's death a suicide as evidence suggests, or a sinister murder? Is Ramiro truly a time-traveller, and if so, what is his endgame? As the world teeters on the brink of nuclear annihilation and societal anarchy, Carmen embarks on a psychological duel with Ramiro. He demonstrates a disquieting insight into her psyche, poised to exploit her emotional weak spots to further his cryptic agenda. In the heart of this secret underground prison, Carmen must unravel the mystery of the time-traveling prisoner, whose existence might hold the key to either salvation or the impending global catastrophe.
