Plot

In the pulsating heart of Los Angeles, brilliance and addiction converge in the form of Dr. Eugene Sands, a prodigious surgeon whose career crumbles under the weight of his own vices. His medical license, the key to his once revered status, is stripped away after a disastrous operation performed under the influence of amphetamines. Left in the ashes of his former life, Eugene's world spirals into desolation, his existence reduced to shadowy vestiges of his past. Fate, however, has a peculiar way of spinning its web. A night of aimless wandering leads him to a club where chaos erupts in a symphony of gunshots. Amid the pandemonium, Eugene's dormant skills instinctively snap to life. He becomes the sole beacon of hope for a gravely wounded man, his hands, once again, orchestrating the delicate dance between life and death. This unexpected spectacle of medical prowess catches the attention of the notorious Raymond Blossom, a master counterfeiter who operates in the city's underbelly. Seeing potential in Eugene's talents, Raymond pulls him into a clandestine operation, becoming the savior of his wounded associates who cannot risk the sterilized lights of a hospital. In this labyrinth of crime, Eugene gets entangled not only with Raymond's illicit operations but also with his enchanting girlfriend, adding a dangerous layer to his new existence. As he delves deeper, the world of medicine and crime blur into a high-stakes game where his past and present collide. Playing God, Eugene must navigate the treacherous path that lies ahead, his life hanging in a precarious balance.
