In the unforgiving heart of rural Texas, 1935, Edna Spalding grapples with a life turned upside down. She finds herself a widowed mother of two, bereaved and penniless, following a tragic accident that snatches away her husband, the town's Sheriff. Left with a small, debt-ridden farm under the shadow of the Great Depression, Edna faces a harsh reality of survival and resilience. A glimmer of hope emerges from unexpected corners.
